Who We Are
Certified Garage Door is a family-run repair service based in Covington, LA. We work across the Northshore of New Orleans, covering both St. Tammany Parish and Tangipahoa Parish, and we handle residential and commercial jobs alike — including roll up doors on businesses, rentals and multi family properties.
The work itself is straightforward: springs, cables, rollers, hinges, tracks, bearings, openers and doors that have slipped off their track. Most garage door problems give you warning before they stop you in the driveway. A door gets louder, a little slower, a touch harder to lift. We would rather catch those early, when the fix is small, than wait until a part finally lets go.
Our Commitment to Covington and the Northshore
We live and work on the Northshore, so these aren't distant service calls to us — they're our own neighborhoods. That shapes how we do business.
A broken spring or a door stuck open is more than an inconvenience. It leaves your home or your shop open, and that moves the job up our list. We carry the parts behind the most common faults — springs, cables, rollers — so that in most cases the repair is finished on the first visit rather than scheduled for another day.
For spring work specifically, we don't give a number over the phone. Spring replacement depends on the weight and height of your door, and that has to be measured on site before we can quote it honestly. We also steer homeowners away from doing it themselves. A wound torsion spring holds a lot of stored energy, and it is not a safe place to learn.
Why Customers Trust Us
You know the price before we touch anything. Every job begins with a free estimate, and the figure is agreed before work starts. Nothing gets opened up, replaced or charged until you've said yes to the number.
We fix what can be fixed. Plenty of doors that look finished just need a set of rollers or a cable. We won't try to sell you a new door when a repair will hold. If replacement genuinely is the better value for you, we'll explain exactly why and quote it both ways, so the choice stays yours.
We look at the whole door, not just the loud part. One failed component usually has another one close behind it. When we diagnose a fault, we tell you what failed and why — and what else we see coming — instead of just handing over an invoice.
A safety inspection comes with no strings. We'll check the springs, cables, rollers, tracks, balance, opener force, photo eyes and auto reverse, and tell you plainly where things stand. If you'd rather take that list elsewhere, that's fine. There's no obligation to have the work done with us.
If your garage door is making a noise it didn't used to, moving unevenly, or has stopped altogether, give us a call at (985) 234-9130. We'll take a look, explain what we find, and let you decide what happens next.
